Well, time for a portrait.
As I said in another post, I prefer location portraiture to studio portraiture (even if the lighting situation is a challenge). People tend to be more relaxed in their “natural” environment or in nature, and I want to capture the essence of people, not just their appearance.
But don’t get me wrong – I also like good studio portraits, it’s just a matter of personal taste.
In the case of this beauty here I chose to leave some background and not to do a tighter “headshot” – the effect was just better in my opinion.
Unlike most of my blog pictures (that have a Creative Commons License), this picture must not be used anywhere else in any form (i.e. protected by copyright, all rights reserved).
B stands for stunning beauty.. I don’t know but I somehow seem to appreciate the lighting, the setup, everything and you did justice to her great features.. !
I am reminded so much of the Mona Lisa. Your model is not only beautiful but has an air of something very special within her. Wonderful portrait.
Thanks a lot for your nice comments!
Timo, I was going through someone’s pictures just now, and was wondering if you have considered adding “Copyright Timo” or some sort of a water mark to your pictures? Just curious, that’s all!
Have a great weekend!
🙂
Hi Rachana!
Thanks for your comment.
When using watermarks, photos are not likely to be shown on other sites and by using a strict copyright you take away the right to show them elsewhere, so for the majority of my photos that have a Creative Commons License I would prefer not to use a watermark.
However, for portraiture work I don’t make use of a Creative Commons License, and it indeed might make sense to use a watermark for those cases in the future besides adding the copyright notice unter the photo – thanks for the reminder!
Have a great weekend, too!
Good, good, see I did not think of the first part about the reluctance to use water marked pictures.. Interesting point! 🙂
Good luck!
I have inserted a watermark now. 😉
Lovely font!
