Coffee Candle

Coffee Candle

I have had two busy weeks, so there was a slight delay with the new picture.
It has been some time since my last still life.
I wanted to convery a warm, cosy atmoshphere with this.
Photo straight out of the cam – should definitely be seen enlarged (clicky).

Impressions from Croatia – Part 1

Croatia 1

It’s getting colder here, so my longing for sun and everything summer gets stronger…
As I said in another post some time ago, I will share some impressions from my 2017 holiday in Croatia in the coming weeks.
Please don’t consider this as a comprehensive travel report (remember this is not a travel blog), just some random photographic impressions.
Today the focus is on the beautiful city of Baska on the island Krk.

Nice view from a hill nearby:

One of the typical alleys you find everywhere:

Croatia 3

A lot of tourism though, it’s not an insider tip anymore, I’m afraid.
Still Krk has a lot to offer besides beautiful beaches and the clearest water you can imagine.

More to come soon, stay tuned!

In The Mountains

In The Mountains

Today’s picture was taken from the Seiser Alm in Italy, the largest high-altitude Alpine meadow in Europe, which I visited this summer.
Unfortunately, weather conditions were not perfect for taking photographs, but still I like this picture somehow and wanted to share it with you.
The massif in the background is the Langkofel Group.

Rheinauhafen Cologne

Rheinauhafen 1

And yet another one (actually two) from my trip to Cologne. There is a lot to see there as you probably can imagine right now.
This is the Rheinauhafen, an urban regeneration project along the river Rhine.
This used to be a commercial harbour developed during the 1880s.

These are HDR pictures, hope you like them. You should definitely see them in a larger format (just click on them).
