Another one from the Cologne Triangle which I showed you from outside a few months ago.
These pictures were taken from the lounge in the reception area.
I did not know at that time that this building is actually used for some parts of the German TV show Deutschland sucht den Superstar (which is called “Pop Idol” in the UK). They do the casting in one of the top floors.
Here you can see the view you have from its roof.
And yet another one (actually two) from my trip to Cologne. There is a lot to see there as you probably can imagine right now.
This is the Rheinauhafen, an urban regeneration project along the river Rhine.
This used to be a commercial harbour developed during the 1880s.

This is Cologne from above – or at least the part where you can see the Cathedral, Hohenzollern Bridge, the river Rhine and the Central Station to name but a few.

These are the Cologne Cathedral and the Hohenzollern Bridge at night.
Night shots are fun, especially when you carry a tripod with you.
I didn’t – mea culpa. Luckily I could improvise by putting the camera on a wall.
Although it turned out well, the moral of the story is: don’t forget the tripod…

Finally time for an HDR capture.
I have been on a short trip to Cologne and while on the first day the weather was atrocious, I was lucky on the second one. Sun with nice clouds, Cologne abounds in interesting subjects anyway.
The building here is called the Triangle. It has a modern, but very nice architecture (which I might show you soon in the next weeks).
