Percy

May I introduce… This is Percy, probably one of the friendliest dogs I have ever seen. Didn’t bark at all despite various provocations from other dogs he encountered.
Shooting pet portraits for other people is always a tricky thing. Not everyone likes a small depth of field, so you have to find out their individual taste.

Winter is nearing slowly but steadily. What can you expect in this season?
I still have some nice stuff to show from my mountrain trip, but I am also going to share some pictures from travels I did in the last 2-3 years (Dolomites, Denmark, UK, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Netherlands to name but a few) as well as some black and white work and an occasional still life. And I don’t need to mention pet portraits – you can always count on these in this blog.
Moreover, I plan to share with you some of my old gear (vintage alert!) and a blast from the past now and then.

Have a nice week and stay healthy!

Frosted Beauty

Frosted Beauty

It’s no help posting photos of beaches, the sea, rock needles, etc. – it’s still winter in our parts, let’s face it.
The picture above is actually back from 2004 – I took it with my first digital camera (although I still used my analog camera a lot at that time).
Oh, my good old Canon Digital Ixus V2… It does not work anymore, but I cannot part with it. Memories…

Rothenburg Holiday Impressions

Rothenburg 1
(Market Square captured with fisheye lens)

At the beginning of this winter holiday season I’d like to share with you some impressions of the beautiful medieval town Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Germany).
Those people who’ve been there know that you can easily take a thousand pictures on a single day and still have the feeling you missed a lot…
Please consider this series here as a tiny glimpse of the treasures this town holds.
BTW: If you think there is something wrong with your eyes – don’t be worried, as I used my Fisheye lens for several pictures. There are also some HDR photos here.
As always please click on the pictures to enlarge them – highly recommended!

I wish all my followers happy, peaceful holidays!

Rothenburg 9
Special decoration houses – handmade and thus pretty pricey (but beautiful as you can see)

Rothenburg 10

Hope you enjoyed this series. As I visit this town quite often you will see more from it in the future.
Take care!

Wintery

We’ve had some serious snow in the last weeks (yesterday it rained though, washing away much of it).
It’s no secret that I am not a winter guy, but I try to make the best out of it with HDR pictures like this one.
