I originally wanted to post another photo today, but I made up my mind…
This one here is an HDR picture of the entrance to the beautiful historic center of Carcassonne (France).
Some might know it from my flickr page or HDR Spotting, but I decided it deserves a place on my blog as well.
Of course it deserves a place here! I’d love to ride into this on my mare:-)
I’d rather thought women want to be the princess in the tower, seeing their brave knight who is about to rescue them. 😉
The figures mar the photo for me; I really like it otherwise. Did you fiddle with the colors and lighting or are those au naturel?
I did a bit color tweaking, but since this is an HDR picture (i.e. in this case three exposures merged into one photo) it gets a different look anyway. 😉
How fascinating to see these pictures of a medieval town I visited in 1976 – sure brings back memories (including the first time I ate frogs legs). I have a short term memory problem, but I can picture that restaurant & the jazz pianist to this day (some 35 years later).
